New to the village or perhaps just haven’t heard about the vibrant village gardening club?
The club isn’t just about retired gardeners meeting to compare their tomatoes or discuss making compost. It is a mixture of lovely people enjoying great meetings and social events. Why not try our next meeting on Thursday 7th September with a talk from Arthur Ball on the Birds and wildlife of Dowdeswell reservoir ? You would be very welcome. Further monthly topics include Butterflies of Ettington and gardening for them, Gardens of the USA and Finding the angle at Chelsea.
Outings are always in the programme, the next being to the historic city and cathedral of Winchester for the Christmas Market.
All meetings are held in the small hall of the community centre and start at 7.30pm on the first Thursday of most months. The annual subscription is £12. If you want to try us first then come to the meeting of your choice for a visitor’s fee of £3.
For more information on any of the club’s events call Matthew on 748041. Follow us on Facebook.
